When I first began realizing I might not be straight, I could hardly let myself think about it, too afraid that it might be true--and something I had to face when one of the only friends I had asked me if I was gay. I was too terrified to tell the truth: maybe.
Today is World Book Day--a day to recognize the value of reading and promote it to kids around the world!

Earlier this week, I recorded our monthly podcast with @SapphicWritersOnline where we discussed whether or not sapphic writer is intrinsically romantic. Though we did not come to a definitive conclusion, the conversation led to great discussion and deep questions about what makes writing *sapphic*. ⁠⁠
Valentine's Day can be a tough day to spend without my girlfriend by my side, but I reflect on all the moments we have spent together. On our first (and only) Valentine's Day spent together, we went to a local place for a full English breakfast (mine absolutely included mushrooms)! ⁠⁠
Today is Self-Love Day! It took me years to learn what self-love means, and it's something I re-learn every week it feels like. ⁠⁠
